Imbolc musings
And the end of Season 1 for Haus of Pouts TALKS
In conjunction with this post, Dallas and I are announcing the end of Season 1 of Haus of Pouts TALKS and a hiatus from our podcast. You can find the final episode of the season with the link below.
There were several things that led us to make the decision, but when I reassured Dallas that the timing was correct, I pointed to the fact that we were making this decision on Imbolc (and an Imbolc on a full moon no less). This holiday on the witches’ wheel of the year lands between Yule and Ostara, the traditions of which have been adopted by modern Christianity into Christmas and Easter. If Ostara and Easter are recognized as holidays of new birth, then Imbolc can be understood as a time before new birth, a time where one finds renewal in the womb. This is what Imbolc translates to; “in the belly”.
At the heart of Imbolc is the fact that people who grew crops for their food and started the traditions were in a season of inaction. It was too cold at this time of year to start planting seeds, but a perfect time to start planning and preparing to plant these seeds. In this time of inaction people would start making decisions that would affect the rest of their year and their next harvest. Similarly, Dallas and I want to shift some of our focuses this year and plant some seeds for new projects that we want to come to fruition.
We have every intention of bringing back Haus of Pouts TALKS after we have a moment to recalibrate. We appreciate the support of our listeners as we put the podcast on hiatus and look forward to coming back reinvigorated and reinspired.

Thank you for your insight, calmness and compassion as we are navigating our lives and ambitions together.
